Shepherd’s Rest is positioned in a field with wonderful, far reaching views towards Minehead and the surrounding countryside. The property has an open plan living and sleeping area, basic kitchen and a shower room with toilet. Outside there is a garden with seating area and a fire pit, ideal for sitting out of an evening and enjoying a glass of wine whilst staring at the stars. Shepherd’s Rest is located within the Exmoor National Park boundaries and guests will find superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton are famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (National Trust) and the valley of the rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Looking towards Minehead, there is the promenade to enjoy a walk with an ice cream as well as the shops and other amenities. The West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in stream engines. Why not head over to the National Trust Dunster Castle and village, with its beautiful terraced gardens, Deer Park and Mill will make for an interesting day out as well as Porlock Weir. There are further beaches at Dunster and Porlock. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
